Inherent to Amana PTAC units is the STC (Sound Transmission Class) of 28. This means less outside noise is transferred into the room through this system. A compressor lock-in feature (which may be manually over-ridden at your choosing) works to protect and prolong the life of your units compressor by preventing short-cycling, allowing instead for the unit‰۪s compressor to switch from Off to On for approximately 4 minutes when it detects the room temperature has risen or fallen below the specified limit Amana PTAC units have many features that can be controlled from a central location. The front desk ventilation control feature is perfect for controlling the direction of the air and for cooling multiple rooms at once.
